A * denotes Day knows their name.

Claire Farron (Lightning)*: They met in the square before Cornelia's speach, they agreed to live which each other as they knew no one else and spoke to Cornelia together. Lightning didn't freak out when she found out Day was a poisoner, which Day takes as a good sign.

Cornelia li Britannia*: Typical soldierly general type. Reminds her a bit of Murcotta without the murderous avenging rage. She is going to make some antidotes up for her though, someone has to be in charge after all.

Fletcher Tringham*: A small child Day met when told to get inside. He seemed frightened and she wasn't really sure how to help him.

Homura Akemi: The strange ten fifteen year old girl she met when the monsters first attacked. She seems to know Lightning and can use a gun very well.

Mami Tomoe: They spoke over the radio, she is suposed to be dead too apparantly.

Souji Seta*: He began a collection drive to clear out apartments, Day took some things to him.

Tyki Mikk: They met in the bakery, he seems to like food, and killing monsters.

Prose sample for Deadlanders (coppied from google doc)
“Damn it,” Day turned and ran into an alley; from what she could remember, and her memory was pretty faltless, there was an abandoned building five houses down that she could hide in. Just her luck that the one time she ventured out on her own all the monsters decided to visit the same place.

She reached the door and slipped in pushing a box up against it. The house looked untouched so it was doubtless that monsters had already got in but caution first always as Morveer always used to say. She pushed open the door to the first room, grabbing a stick that was lying in the hallway to use as a weapon. It was empty, Day breathed a sigh of relief and went to the next room, pushing open the door.

    -------------------------------------------

“Ah!” There was someone else in that room. Further, the noise of surprise hadn’t really been “ah” so much as a high-pitched buzzing noise. Coming, not from the tall figure’s mouth, but further up.

Hammerwave stared at the human, it wasn’t one she recognized, but they were quite a few people in Asper by now... She quickly held up her hands, palms out. She knew what she looked like to most here; being around two and a half meters tall, with tentacles resembling a squid or octopus’ arms and legs on the bottom, plus the ones on her head...

“I, ah... mean no harm. I was simply looking for more bedding...” Hammerwave paused, tilting her head. “There are monsters outside?”

    ------------------------------------------

Day blinked, she had seen a couple of people who definitly wern’t human here, enough to not automatically assume that this one was a monster. Especially since she was in a posture of surrendor. Still she was much larger than Day and looked like some king of sea monster.

“Yeah swarming the streets.” Day closed the door behind her finding something else to pull up against it to keep it closed.

    “What the hell are you?”

    --------------------------------------

Sitting down on the now-stripped bed - the bedclothes in a bundle on the floor - Hammerwave shrugged, the small tendrils extending from her temples seemingly moving in their own shrug as she used two of her bottom tentacles to tie up the sheet so the rest of the bedding would stay in the impromptu ‘bag’.

“If you don’t know, I hardly think the word would mean much to you, but...” There’s a small, seemingly decorative bit of metal on Hammerwave’s forehead, three raised, rounded modules spaced out around the five blowholes there, connected by fine wires. They briefly stopped glowing, and the next noise out was a burbling whistle, something like the tide falling back from a rocky beach.

“The kiadin, those who look like you do on my planet of birth, call us Zyeexerali, however.” Hammerwave said with a shrug, then she raised her head again to stare at the door.

“I don’t think we can stay in here for much longer... the creatures will soon get through the door to the outside.”

    --------------------------------------------

Day frowned at the strange metal making noise and the unfamiliar words, “Zyeexerali,” she muttered mangling the word before she nodded and looked around the room“Right, yes monsters. I barred the outside door as well but it wont last long.” She didn’t have any weapons on her but she did have the vial of ‘poison’ she had made from things she had found. Not being familiar with anything in this world she didn’t know if it actually was poison or if it would effect the monsters. But it was worth a try, she held it tight. “Quickest way out?”

    -------------------------------------------

“My assumption would be a window. I believe that big building I’ve heard some call a stadium has no monsters in it. If we could get there, we could wait until thy went away,” Hammerwave said, lifting up the bundle of bedclothes and then transferring it to be held by the tentacles on her head instead of in her arms, as she walked over to the window and pointed towards the large stadium.

    -----------------------------------------

“Right.” Day tried the window, it was unlocked, “You go first.” She watched the alien climb out and then followed slipping through silently. Unstopping the small bottle she poured the contents onto the windowsill. Deadly and painful if she had made it right, it would slow down any monsters following them that way.

Of course if any other people tried to use the window it might effect them too, but sometimes people just had to be sacrificed and if got rid of a few monsters, the price was probably worth it.

Probably. Day reached into her pocket again and pulled out a small chunk of bread and started eating. “Let’s go then!”

    Deadlands Information (Spoiler Warning)
    [PLAYER INFO]
    Handle: Katy
    Contact:AIM: Jipaltara Plurk: Damua

    [CHARACTER INFO]
    Canon: Best Served Cold
    Name: Day
    Age: 23

Abilities: Day is a poisoner, a few months out of her apprenticeship. She has a wide working knowledge of herbs and poisons. She can also use a blowpipe. However she is completely human and doesn't have any magic or other abilities.

Modified Abilities: Even though none of Day's abilities would break the game she probably wont recognise most of the plants she manages to find here and a lot of her knowledge will be useless.

Personality: Not much is known about Day's early life, but sometime in her late teen years she became an apprentice to Morveer, one of the greatest poisoners of the world. She finished her apprenticeship after mastering making the king of poisons. Only to be used in the most direst circumstances, where no other poison will do. A poison that not only her master has immunity to. She agreed to remain as his assistant as she still had much to learn.

Day is young looking with dirty-blonde hair and innocent looking features which makes her the last person anyone would suspect as a poisoner, which was the reason Morveer chose her in thefirst place. She fell in with Mucatto and her quest for revenge when she and her master where hired. A job is a job, she says herself that only the job and the pay mattters, she cares naught for the motives of her employer. She tries generally to only poison those she had been paid to but has no qualms about Moveer poisoning an entire bank to kill one man.

She is rarely seen without food in her hand, an apple, a cake and finds no moment inapropriate to eat. She has quite a dark grim sense of humour, which sort of comes with the trade. Her motto she has borrowed off her master, caution first always.

She tends to follow her masters lead, even to the point of repeating words after him but really she finds him annoying and puts up with him just for the sake of a roof over her head, food and the chance to increase her knowledge.

As time goes on, like everyone, eventually she starts to become disilusioned with the idea of never ended revenge, Monaza manages to persuade her that sooner or later her master will defect and sell her out as a scapegoat. The seed of distrust sprouts as Day never really trusts anyone, she expects to be betrayed eventually by everyone so it comes as no suprise to her. In her feelings of betrayal she poisons him with the king of poisons, the ultimate poison, a poison that looks, tastes and smells like water.

A poison which in reality is just water, a trick in case she ever proved disloyal. He nicks her with a blade that he claims to be poisoned and after making her apologise gives her the anidote, an antidote that turns out to be the deadly Lotus Blosson poison. She dies in agony feeling more betrayed than ever and angry at everyone.
